Description

Mount Kalaga National Park is a protected wilderness on the northern edge of the State of Leonida, known for rugged backcountry, deep river cuts, and long stretches of forest.

"Wild, Wild Country
Room to breathe on the state's northern fringes.

A national landmark up against the state’s northern border, Mount Kalaga offers prime hunting, fishing, and off-road trails. In the lush surrounding backwoods, hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals live far from the prying eyes of the government."

Geography

The park is located along the northern edge of the State of Leonida, near the state border region. The landscape is defined by elevated terrain, including hills, ridges, and deep-cut river valleys.

Large portions of the area are covered in dense woodland, with winding rivers and marshy lowlands shaping natural routes through the region. Some sections feature steep rock formations and narrow passes, creating natural barriers between different parts of the park.

Recreation

Mount Kalaga is promoted as Leonida’s go-to backcountry destination, with outdoor activities centered around its rivers, trails, and off-road terrain.

  • Hunting — highlighted as a key activity in the park’s official description, and supported by imagery of armed hunters moving through tall grass and pine woods.
  • Fishing — presented as part of the park’s core appeal, tied to its rivers and backcountry waters.
  • Off-road trails — the park is explicitly framed as an off-road hotspot; official media shows dirt bikes tearing through muddy industrial back-lots at the edge of the wilderness.
  • Kayaking — shown directly in official screenshots on a calm river under a steel rail bridge, suggesting accessible water routes through the park

Wildlife

Official screenshots depict deer gathering at shallow water and a large wild cat moving through the same area, indicating both prey and predator wildlife in the park’s ecosystem.
